Czech freelance photographer and journalist MICHAL KAŠPAROVSKÝ graduated in 2006 in Masaryk University in journalism,
media studies and sociology. Extensively traveling ever since he has lived in UK, Australia, New Zealand,
USA and Canada. While hitchhiking he has visited most of the European countries and made it also to Africa.
Michal is contributing to several online and printed magazines dealing with music, extreme sports and traveling.
He has also worked for the national Czech TV, Australian SBS Radio and Sydney based independent Barefeet Films company.
Michal was first introduced to creative photography in 1997 with Minolta camera and was immediately hooked.
Soon he felt for B&W photographs and a dark room process using Foma brand papers and films.
After period of experimenting with a camera and avant-garde photography he started shooting concerts and contemporary dance
performances this time with Canon equipment. Soon though he discovered the potentials of digital photography and it didn't take
long before he held his first exhibition. Lately he is mainly focused on taking photographs of winter sports, outdoor activities and traveling.
Canon is a brand choice of his equipment. He is shooting with 50D Canon camera, Canon and Sigma lenses and B&W filters.
At the moment Michal is living in Fernie, Canada.
